November 29, 1999, ATLANTA, GA---The Delta pilots have ratified an agreement on pay rates for the B-777-200IGW and B-767-400ER aircraft. Ninety-six percent of eligible 9,800 voters cast a ballot, and of those, 63 percent voted in favor of the agreement.

The number of NO voters in C2K was almost the same number that voted no on C2012. We're talking hundreds here, not thousands. Think about that...

C2K restoration is a goal chanted by members to High Heaven and back yet virtually the same number of pilots who voted NO on that contract voted NO on this one. This isn't overwhelming support for the DPA, it's 37-38% of the pilots who won't be happy with any contract.

Then take a look at Karlene Petitt's letter to all pilots, she mocks the ALPA position yet says positive things like "We all got a pay raise" and "We all won the battle with this contract" but begins to show her stripes when she says "How many junior pilots are suffering?" in reaction to improving reserve.

The DPA says they recommended a vote of AGAINST. The only thing they got was a repeat of C2K. The numbers don't lie.
